Meet Nichelle, a senior studying Chemistry at Winston-Salem State College, applied for the Many Faces Internship based on an interest in food science and a change from typical reach internships working in a lab. Her chairman at the University, a home brewer himself, heard of the Many Faces program and thought it might be a good fit for Nichelle. She’s mid-way through her experience, check out all that she’s been up to…
A Kolsch is a German beer that originated in Cologne, Germany. While lagers dominate German brewing, a Kolsch is an ale fermented at a warmer temperature and conditioned at a cooler temperature like a lager. The result is a pale, highly attenuated brew that is crisp, dry, with slightly fruity notes. It should be brightly golden and is often served in a stange glass. The brewing of Kolsch enjoys protected status in the European Union. A beer can only be considered a Kolsch if it is made within 50 miles of Cologne, but we celebrate this traditional style with our own version in Cornelius.
Kama Hazy IPA is hazy in appearance with very tropical and juicy aromas. The flavors of mango, lime, and other exotic fruits are accentuated by the Norwegian Kviek strain of yeast used to ferment this beer.
Kama Hazy IPA is a potent concoction – a brew that arouses happiness and frivolity in those who imbibe. Enjoy! Get a little crazy! It is summer time!
