Prost! Oktoberfest Market & Celebration comes to our Cornelius Taproom this Saturday!

Since our first year in operation, we pulled out all the stops for Oktoberfest! And this year is no exception and our plans are bigger and better than ever. This is the party you don’t want to miss… and it starts with a fall market. At noon our backlot is the place to stroll for goodies - with over 40 artisans, peddlers, and other vendors sharing their creations. And we are honored that several of our friends from Western Carolina will be there as our guests of honors as our neighbors recover from the hurricane. While you shop, DJ Ion Sound will bring the background music.

Meanwhile in the taproom, our coffee shop will transition into the best Oktoberfest celebration around. Our annual stein is back along with alpine hats and our signature Oktoberfest shirts. Your day couldn’t be better… or so you think! The beer will be flowing with our fan favorites - Marzen Oktoberfest, Fest Bier, and a nice, tasty surprise. We aged our Marzen in a Bourbon barrel over the last year and we can’t wait to sample it with you.

At 4:30, OOPS Polka Band takes the stage. If you haven’t seen them before, you have missed something special. With a blend of traditional Oktoberfest tunes, fun sing-alongs, and a healthy dose of covers; dancing is definitely in the plans. And then we kick the night off with a keg tapping by Mayoral Candidate Denis Bilodeau.

Throughout the night, Lost Worlds Kitchen and Bushcraft BBQ will be prepping seasonal favorites including hot pretzels, brats, schnitzel, cheese steaks, and a host of traditional sides.

What’s missing you might ask? Absolutely nothing. As the clock hits 6pm, it’s time for our annual stein raising competition. But that’s not all… at 7pm, we have our costume contest. Put on your best pair of lederhosen or a dirndl, grab an alpine hat… and you are ready to celebrate in style.
